Link Jarrett, two-time Southern Conference Coach of the Year, has led UNCG to its winningest three seasons in program history over the last three years. Spartan baseball has won 36 or more games the last three seasons for the first time in program history after earning the Southern Conference Regular Season Championship this season. Jarrett led the Spartans back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 20 years in 2017, knocking off 23rd ranked St. John's at the NCAA Clemson Regional. In Jarrett's tenure, the Spartan offense has led the Southern Conference in hitting in five of his six seasons and led the nation in average during the 2016 season. Spartan baseball's success hasn't been limited to the field as the program has achieved high marks in the classroom as well. Over the last four seasons, his teams have earned APR marks over 983, including a perfect 1000 after the 2015-16 academic year. The last three years have seen his programs achieve a cumulative GPA of over 3.11 and during the 2017-18 season, the 3.22 team GPA was the highest of any male sport at UNCG.
